Not Two, But THREE Superb Books From WYNSTONES PRESS ( 30/07/2006 )
It's not often that Wynstones brings forth a new title, so these offerings are the more significant. The Fairy Tale of the Green Snake and the Beautiful Lily has the classic translation text (by Thomas Carlyle, c. 1830) enhanced by absolutely gorgeous illustrations by David Newbatt. The illustrations alone are worthy of the price. See this book at this location.. The second is entitled Twelve Aspects of Michael, Contrasted by Their Counter-Images. Here it is. David Newbatt's stupendous talent takes free rein on what is a lecture by Christof-Andreas Lindenberg in 1971, exploring the zodiac signs as they apply to St Michael. At a later date, we also got our hands on his tremendous edition of Parzifal, a massive and massively illustrated edition which is worth every penny of an admittedly enormous price.
